DMTS Mission Statement:
“Set the standard of excellence for the Non-emergency Medical Transportation
industry in safety, quality and dependability as recognized and demanded by our
clients, with the best people in the industry aspiring to work here. DMTS is obsessed
with service and strives to exceed service expectations in all areas. ”
History of DMTS
Dependable Medical Transport Services, LLC (DMTS) was organized and registered with
the Arizona Corporation Commission in 2002 to provide service to the elderly and
physically disabled population of Non-Emergency Transportation (NET). DMTS has been
providing quality medical transportation since January 2003 with its current fleet
consisting of over 100 paratransit vans. DMTS vans are multi-use vans, with the versatility
to provide all transports for ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher passengers,
including bariatric.
DMTS philosophy of ensuring that clients arrive at their medical appointments on time
has helped health plans and our other contracts, realize major cost savings while
providing a valuable service to a vulnerable population. DMTS focuses on fulfilling
the needs and special requirements of individuals who must be transported to and from
their medical appointments either by wheelchair, stretcher, with or without their own
oxygen or DMTS provided oxygen, or for those clients that remain independent and
ambulatory but who require assistance from and by others.
DMTS was the first paratransit organization to utilize the M-1 Stretcher which is
considered a true one man stretcher and is three times the cost of standard stretchers.
DMTS is the first, and currently only, non-emergency transportation service provider to
utilize this stretcher. Many fire departments utilize this stretcher for its ease of
use, safety, and durability as it is one of the highest rated weight cots in the
industry. DMTS also has several hydraulic “bendable” stretchers which are battery
powered, and equipped with a hydraulic system which raises and lowers the patient with
the touch of a button, greatly reducing the risk of injury. The retractable head
section allows the cot to be shortened to any height position.
In addition DMTS has developed a proprietary dispatch and routing system called Match Track and Move™.
This world class operating system is an industry first and helps substantially improve service,
on time delivery and overall accountability. DMTS is constantly looking for innovative methods to
improve and evolve the NET industry and improve customer service.
DMTS is currently involved in efforts with a major health plan and various legislators
in changing the NET industry and its lack of regulations. These changes will force
other NET providers to adhere to strict regulations and expectations in providing
quality service. Our extensive training Module and driver certification requirements,
as well as DMTS standards in providing on time service, will morph the NET industry in
becoming a much more ethically responsible industry ensuring we all provide a necessary
services to a population dependent upon others.
DMTS is obsessed with customer service and it shows in our service and satisfaction
results with a combined complaint ratio of
0.003%! DMTS operates 24-hours a day,
seven days per week, and 365 days per year providing State wide services as well as
services outside of Arizona. Our fleet of over 100 multi-transport vehicles are located
throughout Maricopa County, and can provide state wide as well as out of state
transports for clients needs. All Certified Transport Specialists (CTS) take their
vehicles home giving DMTS over 100 independent hubs.
Our 24 hour call center provides state of the art phone systems, with local and toll
free phone numbers. Call center greetings and options are provided in both English
and Spanish, as are DMTS information material. DMTS has access to Language Line for
those clients with interpretation requirements DMTS is unable to meet internally.
The weekend DMTS crew consists of a dispatcher, CSR and adequate number of CTS.
There is rotating coverage for each area to ensure urgent transports are provided on
Sundays and recognized DMTS holidays. Our phone system rolls to after hours at 6pm
and broadcasts the call to every phone in DMTS. The night dispatcher and CSR are
available to handle all issues and calls. In addition to our 24 hour operation, a
DMTS manager is always on call to assist staff with difficult issues.
